Hunter Renfroe Explains Funny Truth Behind Raiders' Hunter Renfrow Name Confusion
Updated:
Following their series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers will fly to Denver to take on the Colorado Rockies. Baseball season may be in full swing as club's continue to play the final month of the regular season, but that also means the NFL's regular season is looming.
As part of a celebration of the team's fantasy football draft, and excitement for the upcoming NFL campaign, the Brewers opted to wear football jerseys for their flight to Denver on Sunday afternoon.
Outfielder Hunter Renfroe's choice was easy as Brewers insider Adam McCalvy caught up with him donning a Las Vegas Raiders' Hunter Renfrow jersey. The two share a name, pronounced the same way, with the only difference being the final letter in their last names.
Renfroe went on to explain a funny truth behind the common mix up he encounters sharing a name with another professional athlete.

Although Renfroe denies he ever receives Renfrow's mail by accident, he detailed the common mishaps that come through his Twitter account. "We get a lot of Twitter inboxes," said Renfroe while he explained that people complain all the time to him about their fantasy football teams.

Hunter Renfrow fantasy managers didn't have much to complain about last year considering the former Clemson product finished the year as WR10 across PPR formats. Either way, that didn't stop Renfroe's Twitter inbox from being flooded with messages from confused fans.
Renfroe actually went on to explain he's known the current Raiders' wideout for years. While playing college baseball at Mississippi State, Renfroe first heard of his similarly-named counterpart. Apparently Renfrow saw the Brewers' outfielder play in college during his own recruiting visit.
The Raiders' jersey Renfroe donned in this interview was actually a gift he exchanged with Renfrow after sending the wide receiver a World Series jersey.
This is a pretty unique relationship developing between two notable professional athletes, and just goes to show you the beauty of sports.
