Has Gonzaga Ever Won a March Madness National Championship?

A perennial powerhouse in college basketball, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are no strangers to being among the favorites to win the National Championship heading into March Madness every season.

But we all know how crazy things can get in March, and it's not unusual to see the best teams get upset in any given season.

Gonzaga National Championship History

Gonzaga has never won an NCAA men's basketball National Championship. Their best ever finish was as the runner-up, which they have done twice: in 2017 and in 2021.

They were a No. 1 seed in both of those seasons, and they were even a heavy betting favorite to win the whole thing in 2021 before falling short once again.

Those two seasons were also the only times Gonzaga has made the Final Four, though they have an additional three Elite Eight appearances (1999, 2015 and 2019).
