Golden Knights vs Stars Betting Trends

  • Vegas is 4-1 straight up (SU) in its last five road games.

  • The total has hit the Under in each of Vegas' last six road games against Dallas.
  • The total has hit the Over in seven of Dallas' last nine games.

Golden Knights vs Stars Prediction & Pick

Although being down 0-2 isn't positive, the Stars aren't in trouble just yet. It's not like they've been playing poorly, proven by both losses coming by one goal each. Fortunately, a return home could be what the doctor ordered. Dallas is an impressive 5-1 SU in its last six home games, outscoring those opponents 26-13 while going 6-of-20 (30.0%) on the power play.

On top of that, the Golden Knights have dropped four of their last five trips to the American Airlines Center. Vegas' offense was near-invisible in those contests, only averaging 1.8 goals while scoring more than two just once.

It's going to be hard for the Golden Knights to reverse those offensive misfortunes. While he's struggled in this series, Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger is 8-2 SU with a 1.66 goals-against average, .939 save percentage, and two shutouts in his last 10 home games.

With as close as this series has been, I'm taking the Stars to get some revenge Tuesday night.

Final Score Prediction: Stars: 4 | Golden Knights: 2

Golden Knights vs Stars Best Bet

The Golden Knights are a talent-rich team, but I don't see them finding much offensive success in Game 3. Again, they've struggled to score more than two goals at American Airlines Center, and with the way Oettinger has been playing at home, it won't be shocking if he's a brick wall once more.

The Stars are due for a strong shutdown performance, which is why the best bet for this game is to take the Under on the Golden Knights' 2.5-goal total.

Bet: Golden Knights — Under 2.5 Goals (-106)
