George Kittle Makes Surprising Comment About Raiders Fans Left in Oakland
Updated:
Although the Raiders have played in Las Vegas for three full seasons now, that hasn't eased the pain of millions of fans leftover in Oakland. And San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle clearly understands the struggle.
While the two franchises may consider themselves fierce cross-conference rivals, Kittle took a surprising approach to Raiders nation stuck in the Bay Area.
During a recent interview, Kittle discussed the Raiders fans left in Oakland. He even made a somewhat shocking plea for them to join his 49ers nation.
He's alluding to the franchise's decision to move their Levi's Stadium to Santa Clara, CA. Santa Clara is approximately 50 miles south of San Francisco. It goes unspoken, but this message seems like Kittle is not only trying to sympathize with Raiders fans, but letting them know there's still an NFL team left in the Bay Area.
Will he convince any of this fanbase to join his 49ers' nation? It's certainly no coincidence Kittle shared this message ahead of the 49ers-Raiders clash in Week 17.
At least the 49ers can boast their winning ways. San Francisco is currently 11-4 heading into Week 17 and holds the fourth-best odds (+650) to win Super Bowl 57 on FanDuel Sportsbook. San Francisco is also considered a 9.5-point road favorite on Sunday.
