Titans Week 1 Opponent for 2023 Season

The Tennessee Titans' Week 1 matchup for the 2023 campaign is a road game against the New Orleans Saints. Last season, they opened with a home game against the New York Giants. Unfortunately, the Titans fell 21-20 -- the first of 10 losses during the campaign.

Titans' 2023 Strength of Schedule

According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Titans have the seventh-easiest schedule in the NFL for the 2023-24 campaign. This is based on the projected win totals of Tennessee's opponents for the upcoming season.

The Titans' 2023-24 opponents went a combined 111-124-2 last season. Tennessee is set to face just three teams (Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers) that won at least 10 games in 2022.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list the Titans at 7.5 wins, with -105 on the over and -115 on the under. The 2022 campaign marked Tennessee's fewest victories in a season since a three-win effort in 2015.

It's difficult to see the Titans surpassing expectations in 2023. This roster has a major question mark at quarterback, with veteran Ryan Tannehill's future uncertain and inexperienced options in Malik Willis and Will Levis behind him. Tennessee's offense, as a whole, is underwhelming even without considering the QB situation. Vrabel's team should be outgunned in most games, and this defense isn't good enough to make up the difference.

Bet – Titans: Under 7.5 Wins (-115)

In the Super Bowl market, the Titans are currently tied (with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) for the fourth-worst odds at +7500. The Indianapolis Colts (+10000) and Houston Texans at (+18000) are the only AFC teams with worse odds.
