MLB All-Star Weekend Schedule of Events 2023
This year's MLB All-Star Weekend is jam-packed with exciting baseball happenings. It all starts on Friday, July 7 with the HBCU Swingman Classic. This event will showcase the top student-athletes from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, as well as put a spotlight on the history of HBCU baseball programs. Mariners legend Ken Griffery Jr. is involved in selecting the roster of players who will participate.
Saturday, July 8 hosts two All-Star mainstays, as the Futures Game and Celebrity Softball Game take place. The former features the top prospects from around the minor leagues, while the latter pits some of the biggest names across pop culture against one another in a highly entertaining softball game.
Saturday also marks the start of the Capital One PLAY BALL PARK, which is an interactive indoor and outdoor experience for fans at Lumen Field and Lumen Field Event Center. Former Mariners like Edgar Martinez and Mike Cameron will hold meet-and-greets opportunities here. The PLAY BALL PARK will be available until All-Star Weekend concludes on Tuesday, June 11.
Sunday, July 9, is headlined by the 2023 MLB Draft. Fans are able to watch the first two rounds live in-person at Lumen Field starting at 4 p.m. local time (7 p.m. ET).
All-Star Weekend kicks into high gear on Monday, July 10 with the fan-favorite Home Run Derby. An exciting group of names have already committed to the event, with the likes of two-time winner Pete Alonso and Mariners stud Julio Rodriguez teeing off in the annual power display.
This baseball celebration comes to a close on Tueday, July 11 with the 2023 MLB All-Star Game. Those looking to catch a glimpse of their favorite players before the exhibition are just in luck, as an All-Star Red Carpet Show is being held at nearby Pike Place Market.
