Commanders Primetime Games 2023
In total, the Commanders will have one primetime game during the 2023-24 season. Check it out below:

Commanders Week 1 Opponent for 2023 Season
The Washington Commanders' Week 1 matchup for the 2023 campaign takes place at home against the Arizona Cardinals. Last season, they opened with a road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Commanders began the campaign on a high note, picking up a 28-22 win at FedExField.
Commanders' 2023 Strength of Schedule
According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Commanders have the sixth-hardest schedule in the NFL for the 2023-24 campaign. This is based on the projected win totals of Washington's opponents for the upcoming season. The Commanders will face a tall task given their upcoming slate, as just two teams (Chiefs, Bengals) made the playoffs last year with a top-10 schedule in terms of difficulty.
The Commanders' 2023-24 opponents went a combined 118-118-1 last season. They'll face a quartet of teams in the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Buffalo Bills that won at least 12 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list the Commanders at 6.5 wins, with -122 on the over and +100 on the under. Washington has finished with seven-plus wins in seven of the past eight seasons, including in each of the last three.
While the Commanders have proven they can hit the over on a 6.5-win total in recent years, whether they do so in 2023 will come down to their quarterback room. As it stands, sophomore Sam Howell is poised to be the starter after playing just one game last season. If he falters, it'll come down to journeyman Jacoby Brissett or Jake Fromm.
At the end of the day, that trio brings a lot of questions to the table and I see the Commanders going through growing pains this season. They'll come close to hitting the Over, but will fall just short of the mark due to one of the toughest 2023 schedules.
Bet – Commanders: Under 7.5 Wins (+100)
In the Super Bowl market, the Commanders currently are in a five-way tie for the sixth-worst odds at +6000. Their odds are the worst among NFC East teams and only trail the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7500) and Arizona Cardinals (+18000) as far as the NFC is concerned.
