Broncos Week 1 Opponent for 2023 Season
The Denver Broncos Week 1 matchup for the 2023 campaign will take place at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. Last season, they opened with a road game on Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. The Broncos fell by a score of 17-16 as kicker Brandon McManus missed a 64-yard field goal attempt at the end of the contest.
Broncos' 2023 Strength of Schedule
According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Broncos have the 13th-hardest schedule in the NFL for the 2023-24 season. This is based on the projected win totals of Denver's opponents for the upcoming campaign. The Broncos have their work cut out for them as just two teams (Chiefs, Bengals) made the playoffs last year with a top-10 schedule in terms of difficulty. They are right on the brink of that mark.
The Broncos' 2023-24 opponents went a combined 118-117-2 last season. They'll face a trio of teams in the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Minnesota Vikings that won at least 13 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list the Broncos at 8.5 wins, with +106 odds on the over and -132 odds on the under. Denver has failed to log at least nine victories in each of the last six NFL seasons, having last won nine games in 2016.
Though the Broncos draw some tough opponents from the AFC East and NFC North, there's still a path to nine wins for this squad. Keep in mind Denver will have nine games against teams that posted a .500 or worse record last year. Quarterback Russell Wilson cannot play like he did last season is the Broncos want any chance of winning, but there is hope he can improve given the front office brought in guard Ben Powers and tackle Mike McGlinchey to upgrade the offensive line. Denver also avoided losing any of its core stars, which gives the AFC West team a chance to surprise people next fall.
Bet – Broncos: Over 8.5 Wins (+106)
In the Super Bowl market, the Broncos currently are tied (with the New England Patriots and New York Giants) for the 18th-best odds. They trail the Kansas City Chiefs (+600) and Los Angeles Chargers (+2500) in the AFC West division, but check in ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders (+5500).
