FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks & Lineup Tonight for 11/2/2022

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing as October comes to a close. If you need some advice on your FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup for tonight's slate, The Duel is here to help.

Here are three players to target and two to avoid in Wednesday, 11/2, NBA DFS action.

NBA DFS Picks Tonight 11/2/2022

Donovan Mitchell Fantasy

Target Donovan Mitchell, PG/SG, Cleveland Cavaliers ($9,500): Donovan Mitchell is lighting it up for the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring at least 31 points in five of his first six games for his new squad. One of those scoring outbursts happened against these same Boston Celtics, as Mitchell picked them apart for a season-high 41 points. Averaging a healthy 7.3 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game as well, the combo guard presents an attractive fantasy option given his do-it-all role for Cleveland.

Anfernee Simons Fantasy

Target Anfernee Simons, SG/PG, Portland Trail Blazers ($7,800): Anfernee Simons showed his elite fantasy potential with Damian Lillard out of the lineup on Friday. Simons exploded for season highs in points (30), rebounds (5), assists (7) and fantasy points (49.5) while serving as Portland's main initiator. Now he gets the perfect matchup to keep things going. The Memphis Grizzlies are allowing the highest PPG to opponents so far and 10th-highest APG. Simons, who's shooting a solid 37.8% from deep on 9.8 attempts a night, should feast against a Grizzlies defense allowing the fourth-most makes beyond the arc per game.

Naji Marshall Fantasy

Target Naji Marshall, SF, New Orleans Pelicans ($4,700): Naji Marshall is making the most of his starting opportunity. He's earned three straight starts with Brandon Ingram and Herbert Jones sidelined, and he's produced with 17.7 PPG, 5.0 RPG and 3.3 APG. Averaging a plentiful 35.3 minutes and 29.3 fantasy PPG since entering the starting lineup, Marshall will remain fantasy relevant due to the sheer volume of playing time he's seeing. He could return excellent value at this modest price with Ingram sidelined again on Wednesday.

Nikola Vucevic Fantasy

Avoid Nikola Vucevic, C, Chicago Bulls ($8,400): It's been tough sledding for Nikola Vucevic as a scorer recently. He's failed to score more than 9 points in two of his last three outings, and that's resulted in him posting 30 or fewer fantasy points in both those contests. The big man didn't take advantage of a plus matchup against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night, so it's hard to trust him to exceed expectations against Charlotte on the second night of a back-to-back.

Domantas Sabonis Fantasy

Avoid Domantas Sabonos, C/PF, Sacramento Kings ($8,100): Domantas Sabonis has the potential to underwhelm on Tuesday night. He's not scoring very well this season, averaging a meager 13.5 PPG. That's limited him upside as of late, failing to surpass 40 fantasy points in each of his last three contests. Sabonis also draws a tough matchup with the Miami Heat tonight. He was clearly frustrated by the Heat when they last met on Oct. 29, fouling out in just 22 minutes and posting his second-lowest fantasy points total (31.9) of the year. Sacramento as a whole could struggle against a Heat defense that ranks No. 7 in scoring defense, so Sabonis may fail to rack up the assists he needs to be worth the price.
