FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks & Lineup Tonight for 1/11/2023 (Trust Giannis vs Hawks Once Again)

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing. If you need some advice on your FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup for tonight's slate, The Duel is here to help.

Here are three players to target and two to avoid in Wednesday, 1/11, NBA DFS action.

NBA DFS Picks Tonight 1/11/2023

Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy

Target Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/SF, Milwaukee Bucks ($11,600): After two down games (by his standards), Giannis Antetokounmpo gets the perfect bounce-back opportunity tonight. The Atlanta Hawks have struggled defensively in 2022-23, giving up the ninth-most points per game to opponents. Antetokounmpo has taken advantage of this matchup, posting at least 25 points in three previous meetings with Atlanta this season. The Hawks also allow the second-most rebounds per game and play at the seventh-fastest pace, so Giannis should have plenty of opportunities to put up a monster stat line in this one.

Jalen Brunson Fantasy

Target Jalen Brunson, PG/SG, New York Knicks ($8,300): Jalen Brunson enters Wednesday's contest red-hot. He's averaging a whopping 36.0 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 6.0 APG over his last three outings, posting FanDuel fantasy point totals of 55.4, 51.4 and 42.0 during this stretch. Now he draws the Indiana Pacers, who are surrendering the 11th-most PPG and allow the ninth-best 3-point percentage to opponents this season. He should keep rolling against a team that wants to get into a high-scoring shootout.

Jabari Smith Fantasy

Target Jabari Smith, PF, Houston Rockets ($5,200): Though Jabari Smith's rookie averages don't jump off of the page, he can contribute in a variety of ways that make him fantasy relevant. Last time out he only scored 9 points, but finish with 30.2 FanDuel fantasy points thanks to 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 3 steals. That high motor should be a major asset on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings. This contest features the second-highest over/under of tonight's slate due to both teams having terrible defenses, meaning plenty of possesions for Smith to make an impact. The Kings also give up the sixth-most PPG, which only boosts Smith's case as a value target.

Jamal Murray Fantasy

Avoid Jamal Murray, PG/SG, Denver Nuggets ($8,000): Jamal Murray's 51.4-point fantasy performance last time out was impressive, but also an outlier. He's had nothing going recently, posting fewer than 25 fantasy points in three of his last four prior to that game. The guard hadn't scored more than 18 points over his last four, either, so don't expect him to replicate his 34-point outburst every night. Facing a Phoenix Suns team that's No. 6 in scoring defense, Murray could return to his underwhelming production tonight.

Myles Turner Fantasy

Avoid Myles Turner, C/PF, Indiana Pacers ($7,900): Matchups are important for big men fantasy-wise, and Myles Turner could be a victim of a poor one on Wednesday. He's set to face two board-gobbling bigs in Julius Randle (10.1 RPG) and Mitchell Robinson (9.0 RPG) that present a major obstacle. Turner struggled versus the New York Knicks in his previous matchup against them this season, managing a meager 6 points and 8 rebounds. This could a night where he's neutralized by a strong opposing frontcourt.
