F1 Start Time, Qualifying & Where to Watch the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix

There was no shortage of drama surrounding Max Verstappen taking home his third straight win at the Spanish Grand Prix last week, but the 2022 Formula 1 calendar rolls on with Round 7 bringing us the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo.
When is the Next F1 Race?
The next F1 race will take place on Sunday, May 29. The Monaco Grand Prix is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. local time, which is equivalent to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time or 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Sunday.
It's a quick 7-day turnaround between the Spanish GP and the Monaco GP, but drivers will get some rest after this one, with a week's break before the Azerbaijan GP on June 12.
What Time is F1 Qualifying?
F1 qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend will take place at 4:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, May 28. This translates to 10:00 a.m. ET/7:00 a.m. PT on Saturday.
There will also be three practice races held ahead of qualifying. These are scheduled as follows:
- Practice 1: Friday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. local time
- Practice 2: Friday, May 27 at 5:00 p.m. local time
- Practice 3: Saturday, May 28 at 1:00 p.m. local time
Where to Watch F1
In the United States, Formula 1 race TV rights are owned by ESPN, which means it is typically broadcast live on ESPN/ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.
There are a few additional options for streaming F1 live online. The top option for serious racing fans is F1TV, which is available through Formula1.com. Other options are streaming services which include ESPN access, such as SlingTV, Hulu + Live TV and FuboTV.
