Doritos Super Bowl 2023 Commercial Features Rapper Jack Harlow Trying 'Another Angle'

Another Super Bowl is upon us, which means plenty of star-studded commercials are on the way. Doritos have built a reputation for going all out with their ad during the big game and this year is no different. Rapper Jack Harlow, singer Missy Elliott and legend Elton John are all featured this time.

The ad opens with Harlow unhappy in the recording studio as he says he "needs to try something new." That's when he sees someone in the room eating a Dorito and the instrument of a triangle sitting behind them. He cracks a smile as the commercial cuts to him using a triangle at a concert.

The crowd goes wild, which causes Harlow to ditch the rap game and go into the art of perfecting the triangle, much to the chagrin of Elliott. The instrument's popularity simply takes off as it starts to be sold out in stores, is worn on the runway by models and even replaces the British pound in currency.

The commercial comes to an end when John was named "Triangle Player of the Year", instead of Harlow. A Doritos bag of the company's newest flavor "Sweet & Tangy BBQ" pops on the screen with the slogan "Try Another Angle." Those tuning in are taken on quite a storyline over the 1-minute ad.

The commercial is set to air just days after the trailer for Harlow's new movie "White Men Can't Jump" was released. Keep in mind the 24-year-old was notably featured in a New Balance ad during Super Bowl 56, too. Adding Elliott and John to the mix only widens Dorito's audience in this music-based ad.
