Detroit Lions' Opponents for 2023-24 NFL Season Schedule

The Detroit Lions failed to return to the NFL playoffs in 2022, but fans are hardly disappointed with the team's performance. A 9-8 record saw the Lions playing a winning brand of football for the first time since 2017, leaving their supporters feeling optimistic about the future.

While it'll be a while before the NFL's official schedule release, we do already know every single opponent Detroit will play next year, including which of those games will be at home and on the road. Here's everything you need to know about the Lions' group of opponents for the 2023-24 NFL season.

Lions Opponents 2023-24

The league uses a set, rotating formula to determine future schedules, so Detroit's opponents for the 2023 season became set in stone as soon as the regular season ended.

The Lions will of course play every other NFC North team twice, as is the custom for all divisions. The NFC North teams will also each play every member of both the NFC South and AFC West once each in a mix of home and away games.

As the NFC North's second seed, the Lions will also get the top seeds of the remaining three conferences they match up with — the AFC North, NFC West and NFC East.
