Dak Prescott Career Record Against Kirk Cousins Points to Greater Cowboys Advantage Over Vikings

Updated:

As the franchise quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott is one of the most scrutinized players in any sport. While he hasn't really produced eye-popping numbers prior to this year, there's one thing you can't take away from him – Prescott wins games.

Since entering the league in 2016, Prescott has the second-most wins among all NFL quarterbacks with 37, trailing only Tom Brady 43.

Prescott looks to add to his already-impressive résumé in Week 10 on "Sunday Night Football," and one key stat suggests he could have the edge over Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings.

Prescott flat-out dominated Cousins back when he was with the Washington Redskins, winning all four of their meetings since 2016. The two haven't faced one another since Cousins joined Minnesota, but this is undoubtedly a point in Dallas' favor.

Additionally, while Cousins can rack up stats with the best of them, he's really struggled when facing a team with a winning record. Over the course of his NFL career, Cousins has gone 6-28 when facing a team that is above .500.

Cousins' Vikings have gone 1-3 in such contests this season, with their lone win in that category coming against the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-20. It's worth noting that Dallas is currently 5-3, and has also beaten Philadelphia this season, 37-10, back in Week 7.

Minnesota is just one game behind the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North, but Prescott's career record against Cousins suggests the Vikings could struggle to beat the Cowboys in Week 10.
