Contracts of 4 Eagles Players Officially Void on Monday
Updated:
The Philadelphia Eagles now face the tough task of retooling following a trip to the Super Bowl. Philadelphia has several key contributors headed to free agency, which could lead to some significant changes to the roster this offseason.
In fact, four Eagles players saw their contracts officially voided on Monday.

James Bradberry, T.J. Edwards, Javon Hargrave and Kyzir White all had their deals void on Feb. 20. That quartet now leaves behind a collective dead-money cap hit of $18.8 million.
This charge is due to Philly using void years to spread out players' cap hits down the line, which is helpful when teams are in need of immediate relief. However, the bill is always eventually due, and that's the case now for these four key contributors.
All of these players are slated to become unrestricted free agents this offseason. The Eagles could certainly re-sign some or all of them, but they'll have to do so while carrying that significant dead money on their books.
With this team looking like a contender for years to come, Howie Roseman and company will need to be smart to maximize their cap situation, especially with Jalen Hurts ready to cash in.
