Commanders Get Big Updates on Carson Wentz and Chase Young Injury Timelines

Updated:

Even after a Week 6 win, it's safe to say the Washington Commanders season is not going to plan. Not only is the team just 2-4 to start the year, but they're dealing with injuries to arguably the most important players on either side of the ball.

This includes quarterback Carson Wentz and defensive end Chase Young. On Tuesday, the Commanders got some big updates on the timelines for these injured players.

Young hasn't played a snap of live football in 2022 as he continues to work back from a devastating knee injury last year. Reports suggest Young is seeing Dr. Andrews later this week, and "if all goes well," he should be able to practice after Week 7.

Wentz, on the other hand, is trending in the wrong direction. The team has yet to decide on a potential IR stint thanks to his broken finger, but he's expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks of action.

Commanders fans will pay close attention to these updates ahead of a Week 7 clash with the Green Bay Packers. Washington is considered a 5.5-point home underdog per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
