Ahead of the combine, Charlie Jones is listed at an even 6-foot and 188 pounds. The 24-year-old excels when given the ball in space on crossing routes and quick slants as a shifty pass-catcher capable of slipping through tackles. He'll aim to improve his draft stock at the scouting combine.

Charlie Jones 40-Yard Dash Time
Jones is not considered a burner by any means, but he has shown that he can turn on the jets in order to get by a defender. Projections peg the Illinois native to post a 40-yard dash time around the 4.5-second mark, although it remains to be seen where he officially clocks in at. Charlie Jones Scouting Report & Draft Stock
Jones was never able to carve out a substantial role with Buffalo and Iowa, but that changed once he transferred to Purdue prior to the 2022 season. He finished the campaign with 1,361 yards and 12 touchdowns on a whopping 110 receptions. Jones proved he can relied on with every snap of the football and only logged 6 drops in his entire college career. The Boilermaker plays bigger than his size suggests and could thrive as a slot receiver at the NFL level. He is expected to be a Day 3 pick.
