The Los Angeles Chargers have a chance to clinch a playoff berth when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 18. Even though a postseason appearance isn't guaranteed, Chargers fans may still be wondering what a potential playoff schedule would look like.

The Chargers have not clinched a playoff spot as of writing (Jan. 8).

What Seed Are the Chargers?

Los Angeles currently owns the No. 7 seed in the AFC heading into Week 18.

Chargers Playoffs 2022

Based on the pre-Week 18 standings, the Chargers would be one of six AFC teams playing during the first round of the playoffs. Wild Card Weekend will feature the six teams from each conference that did not earn a bye, with one of them being Los Angeles if they qualify.

Chargers Playoff Dates

No matter where the Chargers are seeded if they qualify for the postseason, they'll have to play in the opening round of the playoffs.

Wild Card Weekend will feature two games on Saturday, Jan. 15, three games on Sunday, Jan. 16, and one game on Monday, Jan. 17. Indianapolis would be assigned one of these three dates if they secure a playoff berth.

The second round, aka the Divisional Round, will take place from Jan. 22-Jan. 23. That is followed by the conference championship round on Jan. 30. The Super Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 13.
