Chargers Divisional Round Schedule for 2023 Playoffs (Next Game Opponent, Time and TV Schedule)
Updated:
The Los Angeles Chargers are hoping to enjoy an extended stay in the 2022-23 NFL playoffs. If the Chargers defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars during Wild Card Weekend, they'll then head on to the Divisional Round. LA suffered a 38-10 loss to Jacksonville in Week 3 of the regular season.
Fans are already curious about the potential schedule for the next round. Here's everything you need to know.
Who Will the Chargers Play Next in the Playoffs if They Win?
The Chargers entered the AFC bracket of the playoffs as the No. 5 seed. That resulted in them drawing the No. 4 seed to open the postseason, which is the Jaguars. Should Los Angeles beat Jacksonville on Saturday night, the team would then advance to the Divisional Round for the first time since 2018.
The Chargers would then play either the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals or Baltimore Ravens. The only team Los Angeles cannot play is the No. 7-seeded Miami Dolphins as the No. 1 seed would draw the lowest seed in the Divisional Round. The results of the other AFC Wild Card games will determine the Chargers' opponent.
Here's the current AFC seeding order heading into Wild Card play: Kansas City Chiefs (1-seed, bye), Buffalo Bills (2-seed), Cincinnati Bengals (3-seed), Jacksonville Jaguars (4-seed), Los Angeles Chargers (5-seed), Baltimore Ravens (6-seed), Miami Dolphins (7-seed).
When Do the Chargers Play Next in Playoffs?
The NFL has already set the dates for the Divisional Round, giving a glimpse at when the Chargers could play next weekend if they advance. After using Saturday, Sunday and Monday for Wild Card matchups, the league will only use the first two days next round. Times have not been revealed yet for Divisional Round games.
