Chandler Zavala Scouting Report

Zavala is a monster at 6'5" and 325 lbs, plus very athletic for his size. He is an elite pass blocker, not allowing a single sack over his final two collegiate seasons.

He also can be a force in the run game with the speed to make blocks at the second level and in the open field. He has solid footwork and a strong foundation, plus he's shown the ability to be effective in more complicated blocking schemes.

Zavala also had one of the best 40-yard dash times for an offensive lineman at the combine, despite his massive size.

His age (24) could be seen as a deterrent to some teams, especially if they don't view him as someone who could compete for a starting job as a rookie. He has shown some struggles against larger defenders, and his size and athleticism are something he relies too much on at times to compensate for the weaknesses in his fundamentals.

Zavala is a guy who can help elevate the Cardinals' run game while also keeping Kyler Murray out of harm's way. Whether the organization views him as a depth piece or a starter, he's a guy that could flourish with Arizona.
