CeeDee Lamb Injury Update Solidifies Fantasy Outlook on Sunday Morning
Updated:
CeeDee Lamb hasn't exactly been the fantasy football star that managers who drafted him early were hoping he'd be, but he's still been a reliable starter.
A hip injury threatened to change that in Week 6, but he's fully expected to suit up on Sunday Night Football, meaning he should also be in your starting lineup.
A total dud in Week 1 gave managers a scare, but Lamb has started to find some chemistry with Cooper Rush. Excluding that first game, he's averaged 6.5 receptions, 78.0 yards and 0.5 touchdowns, posting 18.45 fantasy points per game. Those numbers will do just fine.
His volume has also been terrific, leaving no doubts that he can keep producing at least those kinds of numbers. He's played over 90% of the Cowboys' snaps and seen 8-plus targets in each game, accounting for 35.0% of the targets in the Dallas offense. That's the highest mark for any player in the NFL so far this season.
The Eagles defense doesn't make for a great matchup, but that's not nearly enough of a factor that it should have you considering keeping a healthy Lamb on your bench. The positive update on his health coming nearly 24 hours before kick-off is a great sign that we don't need to be concerned about his workload being limited or managed, and you should start him with confidence.
