Moreno vs Pantoja Prediction
It's worth noting that this is not the first time these two fighters have met in the octagon. Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja faced off back in 2018 in a bout where Pantoja emerged victorious via unanimous decision. He controlled the UFC action with over 30 more significant strikes than Moreno.
The rematch on Saturday lines up as an even more exciting bout given both fighters are coming off impressive wins. Moreno earned a third-round KO/TKO victory over Deiveson Figueiredo in January 2023 and Pantoja battled to a first-round submission victory over Alex Perez in July 2022.
Moreno is the champ for a reason and I find myself coming back to that when choosing a victor. The 29-year-old is capable of weathering what will surely be an early storm from Pantoja before taking control on the ground. His mark of 1.80 takedowns per 15 minutes outshines that of Pantoja (1.37).
Winner: Brandon Moreno
Moreno vs Pantoja Best Bet
These two UFC fighters have only suffered a combined 11 losses across 59 professional fights and all 11 of those losses have come via decision. It goes to show that each pro possesses a strong chin that allows them to avoid knockouts while their elite grappling skills allow them to avoid submissions. The first UFC matchup between these two went the distance, so I'll back the same outcome here.
Bet: Fight to Go the Distance (-112)
