Brady Quinn's Preseason Jets Take Has Aged Like Milk

The New York Jets are coming off their biggest win of the season in Week 8, against the Buffalo Bills, a season that has already seen them pass their projected win total through Week 9. Ahead of the season, everyone outside of the Jets locker room had pretty low expectations for this team. However, they have surprised everyone, sitting at 6-3 heading into their bye week.

One of the more notable media members to bash the New York Jets ahead of the season was former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn. He suggested, based on their schedule, the Jets could start the season 1-8 or 0-9 by the time their bye week rolled around, and boy did that take go cold, quick.

Not only did Quinn suggest this, but he hammered it home, almost as if it was a complete certainty. Sure, while their schedule seemed quite tough to start the season, a number of the teams on it have gotten off to slower-than-expected starts, including the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos. Games thought to be un-winnable by the Jets at the start of the season, came away with wins in both.

The Week 9 win against the Bills, the Super Bowl favorites, also proves these aren't just wins against struggling teams, the Jets can and are beating legitimately good teams. Second-year QB Zack Wilson is 5-1 as a starter since returning from injury and looks to have found his groove, at least enough to keep the Jets on the winning side of things.

New York is on bye this week, but has a Week 11 matchup in Foxborough against the New England Patriots.
