Bills Get Encouraging Jordan Poyer Injury Update in Week 9
Updated:
Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer suffered a scary injury in Week 8 when he said he heard his elbow "pop" against the Green Bay Packers. That's usually a bad sign, but Poyer seems to have avoided major injury and is now listed as day-to-day.
Jordan Poyer Injury Update
Bills GM Brandon Beane said Poyer is still on the mend but didn't indicate that he needs to miss an extended period of time. That is a really encouraging development for a player who has become a big part of the NFL's best defense.
Poyer has been a menace for opposing offenses this season and currently leads the NFL with 4 interceptions. Losing him would take a big playmaker out of the back end of Buffalo's defense.
The Bills may have the luxury of giving Poyer some time to heal as they are heavy favorites in Week 9 against the New York Jets. Buffalo is currently listed as a 12.5-point road favorite for this AFC East clash on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
