Best Same-Game Parlay for Heat vs Celtics NBA Finals Game 1 (Kyle Lowry Keeps Dishing the Ball Out)

Best Same-Game Parlay for Heat vs Celtics NBA Finals Game 1 (Kyle Lowry Keeps Dishing the Ball Out)

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA Playoffs continue on Thursday night with Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets at 8:30 p.m. ET. There are a ton of ways to get in on the betting action, including making your own same-game parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook.

A same-game parlay is exactly what it sounds like. It involves stringing bets from one game together to create a parlay. Of course, all legs must cash for the parlay to be deemed a winning ticket. With that in mind, here's a look at my best same-game parlay for the Heat-Nuggets matchup.

Leg 1: Kyle Lowry Over 3.5 Assists (-102)

It wouldn't be too surprising for Kyle Lowry to see an uptick in minutes on Thursday considering the Heat are at a rest disadvantage and could benefit from spreading the workload around. It also helps that Lowry finished Game 7 against the Boston Celtics with the best +/- on the team (+26). All of that means that the 37-year-old is in a good spot to record over 3 assists. Lowry has racked up at least 4 assists in 11 of his last 15 games overall and has logged at least 4 assists in two of his three games against the Nuggets as a part of the Heat. This is a great leg to start an SGP with.

Leg 2: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to Score 10+ Points (-150)

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is known for his ability to knock down three-pointers more than anything else, but the veteran showed during the Western Conference Finals that he can score from anywhere. He averaged a reliable 14.8 points per game against the Los Angeles Lakers on a 48.9% shooting percentage. KCP has now tallied at least 10 points in seven of his last 10 games overall and is a lock to see 30 or more minutes of action against a Heat defense that just played on Monday night. All it takes is a few long-range makes or contested layups for this leg to get taken care of.

Leg 3: Over 219 Total Points (-110)

There's a lot to like about the chance of a high-scoring game breaking out on Thursday night. After all, the total has hit the over in 10 of Miami's last 13 away games as well as in each of the last five head-to-head matchups between the Heat and Nuggets. The last three games between these two squads have averaged 231.2 points. Keep in mind each side is also shooting over 47.0% during the 2022-23 postseason. A collision between a rested Nuggets offense and a hot Heat offense lines up as a back-and-forth contest that should result in enough buckets for the over to cash.
