Best NFL Survivor Pool Picks for Week 6

If you picked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in your NFL survivor pool last week you probably didn't find the afternoon's action too stressful. The same can't be said if you took the 9-point favorite New England Patriots, who made you sweat right down to the wire.

Ultimately we still haven't seen many huge favorites take L's this year, which means there are probably plenty of people left in your survivor pool.

If you're one of those people, here are The Duel's top NFL survivor pool picks for Week 6.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (at WAS)

The Kansas City Chiefs aren't exactly playing like we may have expected early this season, but there's a reason this 2-3 team is a 7-point road favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook this week. They still rank No. 5 in the NFL in scoring, and this week they're up against a Washington Football Team defense that has allowed the NFL's second-most points. It's not often the Chiefs will be a contrarian pick, but coming off a loss with some injury question marks means you're probably not going to overlap with a ton of your pool if you go with KC in Week 6.

2. Los Angeles Rams (at NYG)

As usual, we'd be remiss to leave the week's biggest favorite off the list. The Los Angeles Rams are giving 10.5 points against the New York Giants here. That makes sense, considering this is a matchup between Pro Football Focus' third-best team in overall grade and their 27th-best team. The major reason not to pick the Rams this week is because they'll also be an outstanding option in Week 7 (against the Detroit Lions) and Week 8 (against the Houston Texans) as well.

1. Indianapolis Colts (vs HOU)

Speaking of playing against the Houston Texans, that puts the Indianapolis Colts in a great spot. The Patriots almost made Texans-faders pay last week, but it's hard to buy Davis Mills' sudden turnaround until we see it over more than a one-game stretch. This is still a guy who threw for just 87 yards with 4 interceptions on 21 attempts in Week 4. It's especially easy to like picking the 9.5-point favorite Colts at home because it's not often they'll even be in consideration. If your pool has a ton of players left it's worth considering the long-term implications of your pick, and that makes the Colts very appealing.
