3 Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets for Chiefs vs Eagles (Take Advantage of Eagles Ground Game)
Updated:
The stage is set for Super Bowl 57 and judging by the best two offensive attacks in football, there should be plenty of scoring, early and often on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles collide with a chance at making history after racing through their respective conference playoff fields with a combined average of 29.75 points per game.
FanDuel Sportsbook has plenty of great wagers available for the sports betting community to get involved with the biggest game in American sports and projects a lofty 50.5 over/under point total. Keeping that in mind, here's a look at the best anytime touchdown scorer bets for the Bengals vs Chiefs showdown, courtesy of FanDuel's Super Bowl 57 odds.
Bengals vs Chiefs Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets
1. Jalen Hurts — Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+100)
The Philadelphia Eagles, with their dynamic attack and the unique ability of quarterback Jalen Hurts on the ground, put together an impressive rushing attack in 2022. Philadelphia scored more than half (32 of 59) of the team's total touchdowns through the ground. And Hurts scored the majority of these. He found the end zone a whopping 13 times (more than any other rusher on the roster) and carried the bulk of these efforts in the red zone. He accounted for 36.7% of Philadelphia's red zone rushing split. Don't be surprised when Hurts finds paydirt on Sunday.
2. Travis Kelce — Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-120)
This one is automatic. Travis Kelce went on a touchdown-scoring spree since Tyreek Hill left for the Miami Dolphins. He ended the year with a career-high 12 touchdown catches and has already added three more scores in Kansas City's two playoff games. He led the league with 30 red zone targets. Yes, the entire league, and accounted for 28% of Kansas City's red zone receiving share. Mecole Hardman, who won't be playing on Sunday, saw 10 targets. If we account for his loss, Kelce's share grows to 32.6%.
3. MIles Sanders — Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+120)
Back to the Eagles' rushing attack for our third option. Hurts may have had the most success reaching the end zone among all of Philadelphia's rushers, but running back Miles Sanders out-rushed him in the red zone. That's a normal split for most NFL franchises. The red zone numbers continue to back up Philadelphia's reliance on the run. Sanders (45) and Hurts (44) both ranked in the top five of red zone rushing attempts in the entire NFL. And Sanders just gashed one of the best defenses (the San Francisco 49ers) for two scores.
