Belmont Stakes Week is officially upon us, and horse racing fans are full of excitement as the final leg of the Triple Crown approaches. The first order of business before the main event is the post-position draw to determine the starting lane for every participant on Saturday.

When is the 2023 Belmont Stakes Post-Position Draw?

The 2023 Belmont Stakes post-position draw will take place on Tuesday, June 6 ahead of the main race on Saturday. The New York Racing Association is scheduled to go live on its YouTube channel with a show dedicated to the draw at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday. This event usually takes an hour.

Belmont Stakes 2023 Horses List

Tuesday's post-position draw will unveil the field for the 2023 Belmont Stakes. Currently, 12 horses have early odds listed by FanDuel to win the race; Forte, Tapit Trice, Sun Thunder, Red Route One, Angel of Empire, Hit Show, Arcangelo, Raise Cain, Reincarnate, Arabian Lion, National Treasure and Prove Worthy.

A maximum of 12 horses can run in the Belmont Stakes. However, Il Miracolo and Tapit Shoes are also among the possible contestants, so not every entrant will receive a spot in the race.
