You Won't Believe the Parking Cost at 49ers-Rams NFC Championship
Updated:
There's no doubt that anyone looking to go to the NFC Championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will have to pay up in order to do so. Ticket prices continue to surge and now the cost to park outside SoFi Stadium is rising by the hour.
49ers vs Rams Parking
Arash Markazi reports that the price on an on-site parking pass has now crossed the $600 mark, which is more than the cheapest ticket at the game ($550). A number of people are listing parking passes for thousands of dollars in hopes that someone is desperate enough to cough up the dough.
Areas around the stadium know how vital it is to find a spot, too. Local high schools and medical buildings are charging fans upwards of hundreds of dollars to park there. Many attendees will likely be forced to rely on ride-sharing apps and public transportation to get to SoFi Stadium on Sunday.
The reason behind the madness is the fact that this will be the first time the the NFC Championship will be held at the same venue as the Super Bowl. Preparations for the big game are already underway in LA and several parking lots are closed. This obviously limits the options for incoming fans.
This development adds on the the news that 49ers fans are expected to outnumber Rams fans at the game. For now, the Rams head into a matchup against San Francisco as 3.5-point favorites and have odds set at +210 to win the Super Bowl, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
