March Madness is right around the corner, which means college basketball's conference tournament season is here! One of the biggest getting underway in the second week of march is the Big Ten Conference Tournament.

Here's everything NCAA basketball fans and bettors need to know about the 2022 Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Atlantic 10 Tournament Schedule, Dates & Location

The 2022 Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament will tip off with its first game on Wednesday, March 9 and will conclude with a championship game on CBS on March 13.

The tournament will take place at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

Davidson locked up the No. 1 seed in the A10 Tournament bracket, and the format of the tournament gives them and the other teams in the top four (Dayton, VCU and St. Bonaventure) byes into the Quarterfinals.

The No. 5 through No. 10 seeds (Saint Louis, Richmond, George Washington, Fordham, George Mason and UMass) are exempt from the play-in round.

The No. 11 through No. 14 seeds (Rhode Island, La Salle, Saint Joseph's, Duquesne) will compete in first-round play-in games.

Atlantic 10 Tournament Prediction

The leading trio of Davidson, Dayton and VCU is almost neck-and-neck in the odds, but I'll side with VCU heading into the A10 tourney.

The Rams are on a roll, winning their last eight games and doing so convincingly. The most dangerous team in these win-or-go-home settings is the one that's peaking at just the right time, and VCU fits the bill to a T.

Mike Rhoades' squad has been a top defensive unit all season, allowing the 10th-fewest PPG in the nation. Though their offense hasn't been as consistently great, they're averaging a whopping 74.4 PPG during their winning streak, a huge step up from their season mark of 66.2.

There's also no denying this team's experience with success in the A10 tournament, making the championship game in five of the last eight seasons, including a win in 2015.

Though Davison boasts an impressive 25-4 overall record, one of those few losses came at home to VCU in their most recent meeting. It's hard not to ride the hot hand as the Atlantic 10 tourney prepares to get underway.
