Andrew Vorhees Scouting Report
Vorhees comes into the league with a ton of experience. He played all four positions during his time at USC. His huge frame gives him a ton of power in the run game and his athleticism gives him the ability to be effective in down-the-field blocking. His wide base and quick first step allow him to achieve balance and positioning.
From 2020-2022, Vorhees only surrendered five sacks combined, playing a combination of left guard and right tackle. His quick first step and solid foundation make bull rushing against him incredibly tough for opposing pass rushers.
He does need to work on his use of hands in the passing game, which makes him susceptible to more finesse moves of the more talented and versatile pass rushers he will see in the NFL every week. While he has a tall and wide frame, he ranks in the bottom 25th percentile with his arm length, something that could hurt him at the next level. He's currently already 24, so that doesn't do him any favors.
Andrew Vorhees NFL Draft Prediction
Vorhees' draft projections are all over the board. While Round 3 might be too high for someone that needs improving as he does, someone this versatile and experienced shouldn't go undrafted.
Going to a place like the Cleveland Browns could be the perfect landing spot for someone like him. They already have a talented and established offensive line, but they could use the depth for next year and for the future, in case any of them move on. Vorhees could step in and help out at multiple positions immediately on the offensive line if needed, whether to spell someone or if an injury occurs.
Cleveland could also give him to chance to potentially hone his skills toward one specific spot on the offensive line, depending on where he is needed most.
Prediction: Cleveland Browns (Round 6, 190 overall)
