Alex Bregman Makes Strong Statement on Current Slump
Updated:
Alex Bregman's struggles have been on full display as of late, hitting below .200 over his last 15 games. The Houston Astros third baseman was already off to a slow start to begin the 2022 campaign, and things appear to have somehow gotten worse recently.
Bregman knows he's not playing well, and he won't be happy until he turns it around.
The two-time All-Star admitted he needs to be better, and even vowed that he will be moving forward. It's a strong stance for the 3B to take, but hopefully his confidence leads to improvement at the plate.
Bregman's not been as productive as Houston hoped to begin the year. He's slashing a poor .220/.335/.375 across 200 at-bats so far. With just 6 home runs and 28 RBIs to his name in 2022, the Astros would certainly love to see the former Sliver Slugger find his spark again.
Manager Dusty Baker seems committed to letting Bregamn work through his issues, which hopefully will pay off with a resurgence sometime soon.
