One team that's no stranger to playing in bowl games is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Here's everything you need to know about Alabama's bowl history before making its next appearance.
Alabama Bowl Game History
College football fans shouldn't be surprised to find out that Alabama has an amazing bowl game history. The Crimson Tide have played in 76 bowl games and won 15 National Championships. Three of those came under head coach Nick Saban.
Alabama's first bowl game appearance came in the 1926 Rose Bowl under head coach Wallace Wade. The Crimson Tide took down Washington 20-19 to earn their first bowl win. They went on to start 3-0-1 in bowl games before finally losing to California by a score of 13-0 in the 1938 Rose Bowl.
The Crimson Tide's most recent bowl appearance came in the 2022 Sugar Bowl against Kansas State. Alabama emerged with another postseason win in that one, defeating the Wildcats 45-20.
