49ers Get Huge Deebo Samuel Injury Update Ahead of Week 17

Updated:
San Francisco 49ers star wideout Deebo Samuel has been on the sidelines for the team's last two games nursing a knee and ankle injury. While it was originally thought that Samuel could miss the entire rest of the regular season, things seem to be improving quicker than that.
Deebo Samuel Injury Update
Samuel participated in individual drills at practice on Thursday and is easing back in toward full participation.
There is still no timeline for Samuel's return, but this is undoubtedly a step in the right direction with two games left on the 49ers' schedule.
Samuel has taken a step back this season after a career year in 2021. Samuel is on pace to fall short of last year's numbers across the board, both in the passing and running game.
With the Niners sitting at 11-4 and already having clinched an NFC West title, they have the luxury of keeping Samuel out until he's fully healthy, which they hope can at the latest can be in time for the start of the playoffs.
The 49ers take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17, where San Francisco is a 9.5-point road favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
