49ers Get Encouraging Robbie Gould Injury Update

The San Francisco 49ers looked dominant in their Week 5 win over the Carolina Panthers. Despite the convincing 37-15 win, San Francisco left Bank of America Stadium with a variety of injury issues.

Notably, this list of injured players included All-Pro kicker Robbie Gould, who suffered a knee contusion while missing a tackle during a kickoff return.

Robbie Gould Injury Update

Gould was unable to practice in any fashion on Wednesday, but his luck turned a corner during Thursday's session.

49ers insider Nick Wagoner reported that Gould was a full participant on Thursday, believing this is a "good sign" he'll suit up in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons.

That's encouraging news, especially after San Francisco signed a potential backup in Sam Sloman to the practice squad earlier this week.

49ers fans will want to pay close attention to the week's remaining practice reports, but for now, Gould looks like he could be ready to go. San Francisco enters this Week 6 clash as a 5.5-point road favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
