2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup Format
The 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup will follow a format that's very familiar to soccer fans. A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament and first be split into one of four groups: A, B, C or D. The event then begins with the Group Stage, as each country within a specific group plays its fellow members once.
The top two teams from each group following the first three games then advance to the Knockout Stage. During the knockout phase, the winners of every group will be paired with a runner-up from a different group and face off in a single game.
The winner of each game from the Round of 8 then goes on to the Gold Cup Semifinals, with a shot at a spot in the final. No third-place game will take place, so the losers of the semifinals will have their journey come to an immediate end.
