NFL Betting: Super Bowl LVIII Specials
For those of us who love a good rematch, Super Bowl LVIII will be exactly that.
Just four years ago, the Kansas City Chiefs outlasted the San Francisco 49ers in Miami for all the marbles. Less than two weeks from now, these same franchises -- with old and new faces alike -- will meet in Vegas with another Lombardi Trophy on the line.
From the perspective of a seasoned sports bettor, the big game can be placed on the same level as Christmas. Annually, we see myriad thoughtful markets around the industry that get the creative juices flowing -- that pertains especially to FanDuel Sportsbook's SBLVIII Specials.
Looking at a catalog of more than 25 markets here, we see many unique player combinations with lucrative returns. In this specific section, every wager shows plus-money odds. So, of those, which have the best shot of cashing?

Super Bowl LVIII Specials
Chris Jones & Nick Bosa to Both Record 0.5+ Sacks (+200)
As with any game, the pass rush will be key for both sides in this one. At the same time, the 49ers and Chiefs each have generational players along the defensive line. For San Fran, 2022 DPOY Nick Bosa is picking up steam at the right time. On K.C., All-Pro DT Chris Jones dominates multiple spots in the trenches.
If both of those aforementioned defenders can each log 0.5 sacks or more, this market is paying back at two-to-one odds at FanDuel Sportsbook. When these same sides met in Super Bowl LIV four years ago, Bosa sacked Mahomes once, but Jones was unable to bring down then-starter Jimmy Garoppolo. Regardless, I love this market for Super Bowl LVIII at double-money pricing.
Including playoffs, Bosa has produced 12.5 sacks in 2023-24 while Jones dropped opposing QBs for a loss 11.0 times. In a single-game setting, Jones fulfilled this requirement in 10 of 19 contests this season. For Bosa, his rate was exactly the same.
Come February 11th in Vegas, Bosa should have a favorable matchup going against Chiefs RT Jawaan Taylor, who was the most-flagged player at his position in 2023. On the other side of the ball, Jones will be full-speed ahead at San Francisco signal-caller Brock Purdy.
Through the most recent regular season, Purdy and Patrick Mahomes were each sacked more frequently than 1.65 times per game; let us look for Bosa and Jones to provide those in Sin City.
Christian McCaffrey to Score 2+ Rushing Touchdowns (+430)
Here is a specials market that I believe has authentic value. Currently, FanDuel Sportsbook has +430 odds on Christian McCaffrey rushing for multiple touchdowns in Super Bowl LVIII.
Notably, McCaffrey has found the end zone more than any other player in 2023-24. Including postseason games, CMC has scored 25 total touchdowns: a franchise single-season record. Still, this market pertains to rushing scores only.
As this year's rushing king (behind 1,459 yards), McCaffrey has been a terror on the ground for opposing teams. Despite his smaller stature, the Stanford Cardinal alum runs the rock with power, pop and precision. 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan loves to feed No. 23; he was second in the NFL with 272 attempts this regular season.
Adding in the playoffs, C-Mac has rushed for 18 touchdowns in 18 starts this year. Through that span, McCaffrey has four separate games wherein he scored more than one touchdown on the ground -- including both recent postseason bids at Levi's Stadium.
Transparently, this is still a longshot wager, but that's why the market returns money at $4.30 on the dollar. Either way, with CMC being the focal point of San Francisco's offense, there is a genuine chance that he runs in two scores at Allegiant Stadium.
As always, look for left tackle Trent Williams, fullback Kyle Juszczyk and tight end George Kittle to open running holes for McCaffrey. As a reminder, numberFire has the Niners as the second-best rushing team in the NFL.
