Player props are a fun way to get involved with the NBA each night, especially when it comes to the game's elite players.

That's what we'll focus on here -- prop bets for the NBA's best players via FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA Star Player Props.

Using FanDuel Research's daily basketball projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some NBA player prop bets that look appealing via the NBA odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

NBA Prop Picks

Anthony Edwards Under 5.5 Assists (-144)

A matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trail Blazers will cap off the first half of the NBA regular season.

The T-Wolves are currently sitting pretty in the Western Conference standings and will enter the All-Star break as the number-one seed. On the other hand, the Blazers own the second-worst record in the West.

This matchup has the fixings for a blowout, and the 215.5-point over/under suggests that we can anticipate a lower-scoring game. With this in mind, let's turn to Anthony Edwards' assists prop and target the under.

Edwards is averaging 5.2 assists per game. He has recorded under 5.5 assists in 62.7% of his games this season, but the -150 odds here imply just a 59.0% probability.

The market is handing Minnesota a modest 112.5-point implied total for this one. This season, the T-Wolves have scored 115 points or fewer in 27 games -- Edwards surpassed 5.5 assists in just nine of those games.

Edwards will be playing in the All-Star game this weekend, so I wouldn't be surprised if he and the other stars on this Minnesota team see abridged court time tonight. This is not an important game for the Wolves, and they could handle business in expedited fashion. Plus, Edwards dished out just two dimes against Portland this past Tuesday, so I wouldn't be comfortable siding with anything but the under.

Our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- have Ant down for just 4.4 assists.

Stephen Curry Over 5.5 Made Threes (-102)

Stephen Curry made NBA history last night after making seven or more three-pointers for a fourth straight game.

With this lofty made threes line, the market seems determined to not let Steph get the best of them. But while over 5.5 made threes is a tall task, it seems apt to side with a heat check from Curry.

On the season, Curry is averaging a league-leading 5.1 three-point makes (3PM) per game. No other player in the entire Association averages even 4.0 3PM per game.

Curry has been on a tear for what seems like the entire season, but he's been especially lights out as of late, going over 5.5 3PM in 8 of his last 11 games.

This evening, he and the Golden State Warriors will take on the Utah Jazz. These teams met up just this past Monday, and Curry took advantage of Utah to the tune of a 7.0-3PM performance.

Beyond Curry's mind-boggling recent play, there are two reasons why I am high on him in this one. For starters, the Jazz are surrendering more 3PM per game than any other team in the NBA. And across its last 15 games, Utah has given up the most 3PM to point guards.

Add in a 2.0-point spread and a 240.5 over/under, and it seems a date with Utah is a match made in heaven for Curry.

Further, the Warriors play at the 12th-fastest pace while the Jazz play at the league's ninth-fastest pace. This season, Curry has participated in 17 pace-up games. He eclipsed 5.5 made threes in 11 of these contests and is averaging an eye-popping 6.5 3PM in this split.

All in all, I have a tough time fading a red-hot Curry.
