NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Win Simulations: Clean Harbors 175
This week in the Craftsman Truck Series, everything's coming up Ty Majeski.
Majeski enters the playoffs fresh off his first win of the season, one that was a long time coming with the speed he has shown. He takes that momentum not just to another short, flat track, but it's one in his home state of Wisconsin.
Narrative time, baby.
For the first time since 2009, they're heading to the Milwaukee Mile, a flat, one-mile oval that should play into Majeski's strengths. He had the dominant car at both Richmond and IRP, two other short, flat tracks.
Unsurprisingly, Majeski is the top driver in my model's win simulations for the Clean Harbors 175. Here's the full rundown of sims prior to practice and qualifying.
Majeski's the clear favorite, but I can't quite catch up to his 33.3% implied odds at +200 in FanDuel Sportsbook's Truck Series betting odds. And there's not enough juice to back Corey Heim, Carson Hocevar, or Zane Smith, either.
The primary value is actually a big longshot in Tanner Gray (+10000). I was on Gray at IRP, as well, and he had a solid run going before a pit-road penalty ruined his day.
Gray's best finish on tracks similar to Milwaukee since the start of last year is fifth, so he's best suited for markets that don't require him to top guys like Majeski. I have his top-five odds at 26.6%, and that's much easier to envision than his 4.2% win odds. But the model's on Gray for a reason, and I can get behind trying to identify ways to get exposure to him.
