MLB Same Game Parlay Bets for Tuesday 7/2/24

Cincinnati Reds at New York Yankees

Juan Soto to Record a Run (-210)
Aaron Judge to Record an RBI (-120)
Trent Grisham to Record a Hit (-140)

Combined Odds: +308

The Cincinnati Reds will be trotting out Graham Ashcraft for the 14th time this season, putting the New York Yankees in a premier spot on Tuesday. Ashcraft has given up three-plus earned runs in seven consecutive starts, and he's in the 13th percentile in xERA (5.10), 9th percentile in xBA (.281), 15th percentile in strikeout rate (17.0%), and 9th percentile in hard-hit rate (45.6%).

Against left-handed hitters, Ashcraft is permitting a .359 wOBA, .489 SLG, 1.50 WHIP, and 1.97 HR/9. Given those numbers, Juan Soto should have plenty of opportunities to score a run for the pinstripes.

Soto owns a .429 wOBA, 184 wRC+, .273 ISO, and 19.1% walk rate versus right-handed pitching. On top of that, Soto has recorded a run in seven of his last 10 games, totaling 11 runs in that span.

Aaron Judge is raking against both righties and southpaws, but he's notably registering a .467 wOBA, 210 wRC+, and .392 ISO versus right-handed pitching. Aside from tallying an RBI in three straight contests, Judge has accumulated 18 RBIs in his last 10 appearances.

With Judge always capable of taking any pitcher deep, he is carrying +215 odds to hit a home run on Dinger Tuesday.

The last leg of this SGP will feature Trent Grisham to record a hit. Grisham has received more playing time due to injuries, and he's gotten a hit in four of his last five games in which he's received two-plus ABs.

Although it's a small sample size, Grisham boasts a .500 ISO and .442 wOBA versus Ashcraft's cutter, which is a pitch he throws 57% of the time versus left-handed hitters.

Milwaukee Brewers at Colorado Rockies

Christian Yelich to Record an RBI (-110)
Brenton Doyle to Record an RBI (+135)

Combined Odds: +341

Runs could be a non-issue with Ryan Feltner pitching for the Colorado Rockies and Dallas Keuchel on the bump for the Milwaukee Brewers at Coors Field on Tuesday. Beginning with Feltner, the right-handed starter for the Rockies ranks in the 25th percentile in xBA (.261), and he's allowed four-plus earned runs in four of his last six starts.

On the season, Feltner is giving up a .382 wOBA, .533 SLG, and 1.58 WHIP to left-handed hitters, compared to a .312 wOBA, .386 SLG, and 1.33 WHIP to right-handed hitters. With those splits in mind, Christian Yelich is primed to record an RBI for the Brewers.

Yelich is sporting a .388 wOBA, 153 wRC+, and .173 ISO versus right-handed pitchers this year. Having Jackson Chourio, Brice Turang, and William Contreras potentially hitting in front of him should give Yelich a decent number of chances to register an RBI.

As for Keuchel, the veteran southpaw made his first start of the campaign his last time out, allowing five earned runs and eight hits in four innings. Considering that Brenton Doyle is swinging a hot bat, we'll take him to plate a run for the Rockies.

Doyle is coming off the best performance of his young career, logging three hits, two homers, three RBIs, and a stolen base. The young outfielder now has at least one RBI in three of his last five contests, totaling six RBIs in that span.

Being that both players have fantastic matchups, Yelich has +400 odds to hit a home run and Doyle has +500 odds in the same market on Tuesday.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Dodgers

Ryne Nelson Under 3.5 Strikeouts (-128)
Bobby Miller Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-108)
Freddie Freeman to Record a Hit (-280)

Combined Odds: +326

Ahead of Tuesday's NL West showdown between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers, fading the starting pitchers from both teams seems like the ideal choice.

Ryne Nelson is set to make his 14th start for the Diamondbacks in 2024. He is sitting in the 12th percentile in xERA (5.17), 3rd percentile in xBA (.297), 7th percentile in strikeout rate (15.0%), 12th percentile in barrel rate (10.4%), and 16th percentile in hard-hit rate (43.8%).

Across his last six starts, Nelson has failed to post four-plus Ks in five of them. Even though Nelson tallied five Ks against the Dodgers earlier this season, Los Angeles has the fifth-best wOBA (.344), fourth-best wRC+ (126), third-best ISO (.200), and fifth-lowest strikeout rate (19.3%) in the last 30 days.

Meanwhile, ever since racking up 11 Ks in his season debut, Bobby Miller has struggled for the Dodgers. Aside from logging fewer than five strikeouts in four consecutive outings, Miller has surrendered three-plus earned runs in three of his last four appearances.

Walks have been a major issue as Miller is notching a 13.8% walk rate with three-plus walks in each of his last three starts. Miller's woes could continue against a Diamondbacks squad that has the seventh-best wOBA (.337) and seventh-best wRC+ (118) in the last 30 days while logging the fifth-highest walk rate (9.1%) and eighth-lowest strikeout rate (20.6%) versus right-handed pitching.

Entering Tuesday's contest, Nelson is permitting a .328 wOBA, 4.69 xFIP, and 1.42 HR/9 to left-handed hitters. Freddie Freeman -- who is rocking a .423 wOBA, 180 wRC+, and .242 ISO against right-handed pitchers this year -- is among the left-handed bats on the Dodgers who could wreak havoc versus Nelson.

Freeman has at least one hit in seven of his last 10 contests, with four multi-hit performances in that span.
