Jim Larranaga on Reed Sheppard: "He's very tough on the opponent."

Kentucky freshman Reed Sheppard has caught the eye of everyone following college basketball this season and that includes Miami's Jim Larranaga.

"He is so smart and skillful," Larranaga said of the 6-3 Sheppard on this week's edition of the College Hoops Today Podcast. "He's very tough on the opponent because he knows how his opponents play. His steals and rebounds always lead to good things for them."

Sheppard is currently averaging 10.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists entering tonight's game between Kentucky and Miami at Rupp Arena.

The matchup is part of the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge.

Both teams are currently ranked in the Top 12 of the ROTHSTEIN 45.
