SLIPPERY FISH (2) was too good from the front after sitting on the speed last time out, scoring by 1.2L in this grade. She'll be fitter again for that effort and she's unbeaten at this track and trip. She has enough speed to get to the front from out wide and can repeat the dose. NISTIRITH (5) is another speed horse who couldn't hold on when leading them up last time out, beaten 1L. Faithfull reunites with the filly today having guiding her to victory last month. Can press on and make every post a winner. I'M GENEVIEVE (9) is better for the fresh run and looks to get all the favours from a good draw. Her best form is good enough and it wouldn't surprise to see her put her best foot forward. DEEPLY ROOTED (1) is not to be discounted on recent form. SPANGLEDSTAR (3) flew home last start and draws a better gate this time around. Can go one better without surprising.

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Tack

The equipment the horse wears, including saddle and bridle. A jockey typically has their own racing saddle, placed on each horse they ride just before the race.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
