Fantasy Football: 3 Tight End Streamer Options for Week 16
Tight end, as the kids say, is a wasteland.
Of all the positions in fantasy football, tight end has consistently been the most volatile. It's gotten to the point where we're lucky to have even a handful of tight ends we can rely on week to week.
This year is no different. Unless you were one of the lucky few to nab a top option at the position, you'll likely be scouring the waiver wire in search of a diamond in the rough.
However, just because you punted on the tight end position doesn't mean you've punted on your team as a whole.
Streaming tight end is a real, and effective, strategy -- you just have to know where to look.
That's where I come in, giving you three tight end streamers to target each and every week of the 2023 NFL season. All of these guys should be available in the majority of 12-team leagues and at the very least possess value for the upcoming week.

Week 16 Tight End Streamers
Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
Tucker Kraft may have been the second tight end the Green Bay Packers drafted in 2023, but he still got significant draft capital as a third-round pick.
Kraft has gotten his chance with Luke Musgrave injured. Since Musgrave has been out, Kraft has been the TE9 in half-PPR scoring.
Green Bay already had many injuries to offensive weapons, and then Jayden Reed suffered an injury in the 4th quarter on Sunday. That could leave them without Reed, Musgrave, Christian Watson, and A.J. Dillon.
Kraft saw six targets in Week 15, which is definitely acceptable at the tight end position. That was a 17% share, which could increase if those injuries keep all of those players out. Sunday's game was also the second consecutive game in which he ran a route on over 90% of drop backs.
The Packers are facing the Carolina Panthers in Week 16. Carolina just got their second win of the season on Sunday, and their defense ranks 30th overall according to numberFire. They are better against the pass than the run, but Green Bay is a pass-happy team who has a 1.58 pass-to-ratio this season. They'll probably stick with this game plan against a team they'll likely be able to impose their will against.
Kraft is definitely someone to add if you need a tight end to start this week.
Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers
Basically nothing went right for the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15. They lost 63-21, and it cost Brandon Staley his job.
Gerald Everett did have encouraging usage, however. It was his second consecutive game with over 20% of the team's targets. He's also caught at least four passes in his last four games.
The Chargers are another team decimated with injuries. They've been without Mike Williams for most of the season, and Keenan Allen missed Thursday's game. Allen had seen a massive 31% of targets since Williams went down. If Allen is to miss this week's game again, Everett should continue to get targeted.
It's not the easiest matchup for the Chargers against the Buffalo Bills, but they will at least be at home and not have weather to worry about at SoFi Stadium.
The 29-year-old Everett has been around the block and certainly isn't the sexiest name out there, but he's fairly reliable for someone on the scrap heap at fantasy's thinnest position.
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
If Hunter Henry is available in your league, now is the time to grab him. He's the TE2 over the last two weeks by half-PPR scoring.
It's understandable if you don't want to roster anyone from the Bailey Zappe-led New England Patriots. However, there seems to be a real rapport between Zappe and Henry.
Last year, Henry saw above 20% of the targets in three of Zappe's four starts. In his two starts this season, Henry's seen 20.3% of the targets and 100% of the end zone targets.
There aren't many other targets Zappe can rely on -- especially if JuJu Smith-Schuster remains out. JuJu saw a 23% target share in Week 14 but missed Week 15. His targets were essentially replaced by Demario Douglas, who saw a 17% share on Sunday.
Possibly the best reason to add Henry is his matchup this week. He'll face the Denver Broncos, who have been getting torched by tight ends. Prior to this week, they allowed the fifth-most adjusted fantasy points per target to the position. That was before Sam LaPorta went off for three touchdowns against them on Saturday.
The one concern with Henry is that he did leave Sunday's game with a knee injury. He did say his knee was feeling alright, so hopefully he'll be good to go this week. If he is given the clean bill of health, a case could be made for him being the number-one priority as a tight end streamer.
