Fantasy Football: 3 Quarterback Streamer Options for Week 15
Streaming quarterbacks remains an integral part of fantasy football for those who were willing to wait on the position in favor of loading up their lineups in drafts.
It's not always the preferred option as putting top-shelf guys in your lineup and forgetting it is always nice, but you can get some great value on the waiver wire each week to start at the position, keeping you competitive on a week-to-week basis.
Whether it's 10-team or 12-team leagues, there's going to be options out there to choose from.
When it comes to streaming a quarterback, there are multiple factors in play with none being more important than the defense they're opposing. From there, you can look at the situation they're in, what they've been doing as of late, and more. All of this matters -- especially when you're trying to find points at the most important position in football.
For many fantasy leagues, it's time for the playoffs. If you've made it this far, quarterback streamers could be of use to you with both C.J. Stroud and Justin Herbert being added to the list of injured QBs. Let's take a look at the best options for Week 15.
Week 15 Quarterback Streamers
Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals
Week 15 Opponent: Minnesota Vikings
Well, something tells us this Jake Browning guy might be the real deal.
After Joe Burrow was injured and it was revealed he'd miss the remainder of the 2023 season due to his wrist injury, all hope was lost for the Cincinnati Bengals. Or so they thought. Browning has filled in for Burrow and is shining while doing so.
Over his last two starts, Browning has thrown for 629 yards and 3 touchdowns while also rushing for 2 more scores. That has been good enough for 25.2 fantasy points per game, and he's finished as a top-five quarterback in both.
This isn't to say this will be the trend week-in and week-out, as expecting rushing touchdowns wouldn't be wise -- but he's the real deal for fantasy purposes. Don't let him stay out there on the waiver wire with the playoffs ramping up this weekend.
Cincinnati will face off with the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. The Vikings haven't been a bad matchup for quarterbacks despite coming off a shutout against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14.
Minnesota is allowing 15.1 fantasy points to the quarterback position per game. Those points have broken down to 234.2 passing yards and 1.08 touchdowns.
With how Browning has been playing, he's the top streamer option for Week 15 and should give a real boost for playoff teams.
Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns
Week 15 Opponent: Chicago Bears
Joe Flacco has exceeded any and all expectations since taking over as the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
The 38-year-old is going to be the starter for the Browns for the remainder of the season and looks like he should have been in the league since training camp.
Flacco has posted 565 passing yards and 5 touchdowns in two games, with the 311-yard, 3-touchdown performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars being one of the season's most impressive showings for any quarterback. It's taken little time for Flacco to take control of the Browns offense, making him an intriguing option from here on out.
The Chicago Bears are going to be difficult based on their past few weeks of play, ranking as a top defense in the league. However, they've allowed 16.8 points per game, which is the upper half of the NFL -- meaning that they can be beaten by this new-look Cleveland offense led by Flacco.
The Bears are allowing 16.8 points per game to signal callers, giving plenty of room for points come Sunday.
Will Levis, Tennessee Titans
Week 15 Opponent: Houston Texans
If you're in a bind, Will Levis is the dart throw worth taking.
Levis has struggled greatly since that four-touchdown debut. Since then, he's thrown for just three in the last five games. Not ideal when looking for quarterback numbers, but this feels like his best chance to bounce back with a beat-up Houston Texans coming to town.
The Texans have been free to give up a lot of points with quarterbacks averaging 18.2 points per game, the seventh-most in the NFL. But perhaps the main reason to have hope in Levis this weekend is that they got destroyed by Zach Wilson.
Wilson finished with 301 passing yards and 2 touchdowns in his return to the field after being benched a few weeks ago. If that doesn't give confidence in trying out Levis one more time, I'm not sure what does.
Now, it's the fantasy playoffs. This is a matchup-based, desperation quarterback streamer more than anything else. But if you're in need of help, Levis has the skill set and team around him to make it count and have his best performance since his initial start.
