4 FanDuel Stacks to Target in Week 18

Stacking in daily fantasy football on FanDuel is a key strategy and a way to shoot for upside. There are a few different ways to correlate lineups that can help us maximize our ceiling.

The classic stack is a quarterback with one of his pass-catchers. Sometimes, it makes sense to use two pass catchers with their signal-caller, especially when the target share is concentrated around two players.

In other situations, we can pair a running back and a defense on the same team. This makes sense when a team is a huge favorite and expected to dominate, which can lead to carries for the back and chances for sacks and turnovers for the D/ST. We also can look to deploy a game stack -- rostering a QB, one of his pass-catchers, and a pass-catcher from the other team. Game stacks can work best in matchups that have high totals and close spreads.

Our Brandon Gdula did a study on stacking that is worth checking out before you make your lineups.

Here are four of the best stacks to zero in on in NFL DFS for this week's main slate.

NFL DFS Stacks

Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott ($8,700) and CeeDee Lamb ($10,000)

The Dallas Cowboys need a win to lock up the NFC East , so they'll definitely be going all out for the win this week. That's great news for the production of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb -- and for us who want to stack them.

This duo has exceeded their fantasy expectations headed into the season. Dak is the QB4 in fantasy, and CeeDee is the overall WR1 in half-PPR scoring.

Lamb had a huge game last time out, exceeding 200 yards. He's seen a 30% target share this season and 37% of the team's air yards. Also on Saturday, Prescott threw for his third-most yards in a game this season and had his best fantasy game since Week 13.

This stack is set up perfectly this week against the Washington Commanders. Washington has been a defense we've targeted all season long. They rank 31st in numberFire's schedule-adjusted pass-defense metrics. They also are dead last in adjusted fantasy points per drop back and adjusted fantasy points per target to receivers.

With Dallas having an implied team total over 30 points, stacking their two best fantasy assets is a no-brainer.

Seattle Seahawks

Geno Smith ($7,300), D.K. Metcalf ($7,600), and Tyler Lockett ($6,800)

The Seattle Seahawks will be in desperation mode this Sunday as they need to win to have any hope of reaching the postseason. Luckily for their passing game, they'll get one of the best possible matchups.

Geno Smith went from averaging 18.5 fantasy points per game last year to just 15.4 this year. However, he's exceeded that average in his last three games. He peaked at 31 points in Week 13 but could put up something similar to that this week.

D.K. Metcalf has been solid this season, ranking 15th in half-PPR fantasy points. His 22% target share is solid if unspectacular, but he sees 40% of the air yards and 42% of the end zone targets, which gives him a lot of potential for big plays.

Tyler Lockett isn't having his best season, but he sees 23% of the team's targets. He'll have a great opportunity to be successful this week.

Seattle will face the Arizona Cardinals this week. Arizona's pass defense ranks dead last, according to numberFire. They allow the highest passing success rate and the second-most adjusted fantasy points per drop back.

The Seahawks have the third-highest implied team total -- even being on the road. This game will be indoors, which means we won't have to deal with bad weather like some other spots around league may have. That adds to this stack being one of the best on the board.

Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings

Jared Goff ($7,500), Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,800), and Justin Jefferson ($9,000)

This game has the makings of a shootout, and we'll want players from both sides in our lineups.

The Detroit Lions have been one of the best offenses in football all year long. Their passing offense ranks fourth in numberFire's metrics. Jared Goff has the eighth-most fantasy points at the QB position this season.

Amon-Ra St. Brown had a breakout season last year but has been even better this season. He is third in half-PPR points at WR despite not getting a Pro Bowl nod. He gets loaded up with volume; 30% of the Lions' targets go his way.

We saw CeeDee Lamb light up the Lions' defense last week. After that performance, Detroit is 28th in adjusted fantasy points per target allowed. That makes Justin Jefferson a clear bring-back choice in this game stack.

Jefferson has seen a 30% target share in all three games since he returned from injury. He should be bombarded with targets again, which could lead to a big day.

This game has a 45.5-point total, the fourth-highest on the main slate. Detroit's 24.25 team total is the fourth on this slate while Minnesota's 21.25 is strong enough to roster a star player like Jefferson.

Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love ($7,800) and Jayden Reed ($7,100)

The Green Bay Packers will be our final stack for the 2023 regular season. They will be in the playoffs if they win, so they have maximum motivation.

Jordan Love has been one of the most inconsistent quarterbacks in the NFL. Luckily, he's been playing great of late. He's thrown at least three touchdowns in three of his last six games and added rushing TDs in each of his last two.

Jayden Reed has been one of the most impressive rookie receivers this season -- especially lately. He's seen at least eight targets in four of his last five games. He has delivered on these targets with three touchdowns in the last two games.

The Packers will face the rival Chicago Bears for their regular season finale. The Bears are 24th in adjusted fantasy points per drop back this season. Their defense does look different now, but Jordan Love did cook them for three touchdowns all the way back in Week 1.

Green Bay will likely be the least popular of any of these stacks, but if Love and Reed connect like they have been in recent weeks, they're certainly a tandem we can use in lineups.
